Article on student art show explains one side of story
I was shocked when I read the article, "PSU Censor's Exhibit," April 21. It was biased and also demeaning. It only showed one side of the story, which made it seem like it supported Josh Stulman's exhibit against Palestinians. The whole idea of free speech is understandable, but when it comes to hurting or poking fun at another religion, discrimination and hate come into play. Stulman's exhibit may have been directed toward Palestinians, but because Islam promotes the idea that everyone is each other's sister or brother, all Muslims became victims of this propaganda. It's not fair to merely state that Penn State censored an exhibit; it should also be known why it was censored and the other side of the story should be told. America is supposed to be a country in which people can feel safe in their homes and schools. Instead, it now seems that hatred is growing stronger and politics are taking place in an area where learning should be promoted. College is supposed to be the high point of our lives where we learn about different cultures and embrace the uniqueness we bring to this school. Unfortunately, Penn State is now being mistaken for a political joint, and it's a shame. Aqsa Ahmad
