Boalsburg man reports identity fraud

A 44-year-old Boalsburg man reported to the State College Police Department Wednesday that $30,000 worth of charges to his Bank of America credit card have been made or shipped to locations throughout the United States.

Police said the man became aware of the charges, which occurred Saturday through Monday, when merchants called him to verify the purchases. Bank of America is investigating the incident, which police said they attribute to identity fraud.
