Peachy Paterno is a favorite University Creamery ice cream flavor for many students, alumni and residents of State College ("Students vote on Peachy Paterno," April 13).

I am glad to hear James Brown, assistant manager of the Creamery, say this attempt to rid the flavor will not affect its availability. It is sad to see students spit in the face of tradition and hope that many more students turn out to support Peachy Paterno. It is also very sad that a teacher initially stated she would be a neutral observer but then turned around and wore a shirt promoting efforts to rid this flavor.
