A judge threw out Scott Paxson's sexual assault felony charge yesterday, leaving the former Penn State football player with two charges to face in trial this summer.

Owners of University Terrace Apartments have asked all residents not to use any of the shared balcony areas similar to the one where a Penn State student fell two weeks ago after the railing he was leaning against gave way.

Chants proclaiming equality and an end to campus racism echoed throughout the HUB-Robeson Center yesterday as more than 300 students rallied against the Penn State College Republicans' plans to hold an Illegal Immigration Awareness Day.

When the No. 10 Penn State men's volleyball team's season began back in mid-January, the entire squad expressed one goal and one goal only for this season: to compete for an NCAA championship.

When preparing for last weekend's Penn Invitational, a meet marred by heavy rain, strong wind and cold temperatures, Penn State men's track and field head coach Harry Groves said a team has to go far west or south to find good running weather during this time of the year.

You, I hope, see the soul-deadening irony of Pink -- who looks and sounds like a Slurpee machine exploding -- releasing a track that calls out the "Stupid Girl" of pop music's elite, right? This judgement, from a woman whose first single featured a pre-chorus of "sometimes it be's [sic] like that"? Or how about that one time when she rhymed "just like a pill" with "making me ill"? Or, you know, when she thought it was a good idea to unleash "Get The Party Started" on an unsuspecting world?

Although I went into Take the Lead, directed by Liz Friedlander, cautiously excited, I also prepared myself for another disappointing, trying-too-hard-to-be-edgy, hip-hop dance movie, a la Honey.

As the semester starts to wind down and summer finally begins to feel like more of a reality and less a distant dream, I thought it'd be appropriate to start finding good summer reads for the lucky ones who will spend their summers lying in the sun.

Lucky Number Slevin is like a great tribute band -- lots of talent, but zero points for originality.

You in Reverse comes at the end of a long wait.
