In response to Sarah Nelson's letter, "Movin' On headlining act fails to meet expectations," April 12, heaven forbid Movin' On acknowledge anything other than rock, metal and punk. Movin' On has always tried to encompass different genres, and I applaud this year's committee for selecting a dynamic artist and social commentator like Talib Kweli as the headliner instead of your average "rock band of the month."

Hopefully this year's lineup will bring in a new audience that may have otherwise never have taken advantage of this amazing, free concert. And even better, maybe it will open some rock, metal and punk fans to the genius of Kweli's alternative hip-hop style.
