Letter to the Editor
New Morrissey album review lacks informative analysis

Is this review supposed to be a joke? Dustin Pangonis is either not listening to the entire album, or he is choosing very carefully the amount of important information he reveals ("'Ringleader of the Tormentors'," April 7).

Morrissey ends a song with a list of all the wretched and tormented people that he would rather have killed instead of him, ending his list with "the people of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania." I think your reviewer took this as personal insult to the commonwealth in which he lives, and decided to slam the album in retaliation. Had he mentioned this lyric in the review, it would have at least explained his hatred for the album. Instead, we are left to assume that it received an "F" simply because it is musically lacking, while the real reason is left unspoken.

Of course, this could simply be because the reporter never listened to the album. In that case, he's making a real fool of himself by not mentioning the obvious Pennsylvania slam. I would guess he has lost some credibility with his followers after this heavily skewed and terribly structured review.
