Student assaulted after getting off bus

The State College Police Department reported that a 21-year-old Penn State student was assaulted after getting off of a Centre Area Transportation Authority bus early yesterday.

At about midnight, the student sustained bruises to his face and a cut to his head and, a small piece of his ear was bitten off near the 300 block of East Beaver Avenue. Police said he was treated at Mount Nittany Medical Center and then released. They are interviewing four possible suspects.

Underwear taken from Victoria's Secret

The Nittany Mall Victoria's Secret had $2,000 worth of underwear stolen from the store Thursday.

Two unknown suspects stole three trays, 235 panties, from the front of the store at about 11 a.m., the State College Police Department reported. They were chased out of the area by a customer and were not caught. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic woman in her mid- to late 40s; she has dark hair and a thick foreign accent, police said. The second suspect is a tall, black, well-dressed man with gold fillings between his front teeth, police said.
