Government should not acknowledge immigrants
This past weekend, thousands of people used their right to free speech and the right to protest. Or did they? Let's look at what we have: illegal immigrants protesting. These people are breaking the law by coming into the country, and currently legislation tries to stiffen penalties, but it's meaningless. For one to have the right to free speech and enjoy many of these liberties, one needs to be here legally. This country is in shambles, as over 11 million illegal immigrants are in this country. Why are they here? Because no one is doing anything about it. There are no stiff penalties for the people who give them jobs; border control is almost non-existent, and the Democrats are so desperate for votes that they will do anything they can to bring these people into the country. Border controls need to be strengthened greatly and harsh penalties need to be put into place. Without these jobs, the aliens will leave, and this country can return to where it should be. If you are willing to work hard, speak English, embrace the American way of life and understand the rules of this country, I welcome you with open arms. If not, I will drive you to the Mexican border myself. Bryan Kardisco
