It was a little disturbing for me to see the students who participated in the march and protest of licensed Penn State products being made by companies that use or are affiliated with sweatshop labor ("Students disrobe in protest," March 28).
Their cause and motivations are more than justified. However, it is sad to see that instead of using that energy in a positive, professional manner, they run around campus half-naked and detract attention from the true issue. In my opinion all these students have done is demonstrate how truly inept each one of them is as an individual by taking part in an activity that made them the laughingstock of the Penn State community for a day. Now I understand why the university's administration does not give them the time of day.
