Last week on MTV's The Real World: Key West, Penn State alumnus John Devenanzio was at the heart of the episode's drama with fellow castmate Svetlana. While last night John may have stepped out of the limelight, Svetlana continued to be the center of attention.
She was at it again as she fought for the manager position at the cast's job at a Mystic Tan salon. Once again, it was Tyler who was the first to call her out on her immature behavior.
Thankfully for Tyler, he found a way to step out of the house and the drama -- training for a biathlon, where he took home gold.
The time Tyler spent away from the house couldn't stop all of the drama that continued on without him surrounding Svetlana's pleas to be manager.
The story behind the gang's job is that the owner and inventor of Mystic Tan is backing them up with the money and supplies they need to run the salon. It is their job to provide the labor and to split the cost of each spray tan 50-50.
The money made is not the only thing split 50-50 as the roommates were confused as to whether to vote Zach or Svetlana as manager.
In an attempt to get to know their boss a little better, the roommates cooked dinner for him and invited him over to their house. Halfway through the meal, their boss questioned whether or not the roommates had come to a decision on everyone's positions in the store.
In a unanimous vote, Janelle was named vice president, and John nominated Zach to be manager of the store, knowing that while Svetlana may have experience, Zach gets along with everyone. The remaining roommates voted Zach manager, and Svetlana moved on in an attempt to win the position of assistant manager. She ultimately lost the position to Jose, who at age 20 is already somewhat of a real estate mogul.
In a "mature" move later on in the night, Svetlana handed newly appointed manager Zach the list of things she was planning to do as manager and suggested that he "take care of it now." Her childlike behavior left the rest of the roommates stunned.
According to Jose, Svetlana would have been a great manager, but the respect for her is not there, and she needs to realize it's not all about her -- though it seems each episode is always about her.
