Letter to the Editor
Both Westerners, Muslims to blame for current fighting

In response to Nasir Ismail's letter, "Westerners target Muslims to perpetuate religious hate," March 21, where does Ismail propose the acceptance should start? Should the Islamic world stop hating the Western world, or should the Western world stop hating the Islamic world? Both sides are wary of acceptance: the West because of terrorism and the Islamic world because of assimilation.

Both sides are to blame for the animosity and hatred. If the problems are to cease, Islam and the West must stop trying to change each other and simply learn to coexist.
