A 21-year-old female student reported a man in an orange Ford Explorer tried to coerce her into getting into his vehicle Tuesday afternoon while she was walking along Beaver Avenue, the State College Police Department said.

While walking near The Brewery, 233 E. Beaver Ave., the woman said she saw a vehicle come up next to her in the left lane. She told police that the man began to yell for her to get in his vehicle about five times. The woman said he remained in his vehicle during the incident and then drove off, police said.

The man is described as white and 45 to 50 years old.

Live to perform at Bryce Jordan Center

The rock group Live will be performing during Blue and White weekend April 23 at the Bryce Jordan Center. General admission tickets are $35 for the public and go on sale 10 a.m. Saturday. Students must show a University Park ID at time of purchase, and sales are limited to one ticket per ID. LionCash will be accepted at the Bryce Jordan Ticket Center and the HUB.
