Penn State Students:

On behalf of the Nittany Lion basketball team and coaching staff, I want to extend a sincere thank you to the 2,700 students who supported us in our National Invitation Tournament (NIT) game against Rutgers University and to everyone who turned out for our games this season.

While we share in the disappointment of the game's outcome, the night showed what a critical part you play in our success. Your high-energy enthusiasm fueled our second half rally against Rutgers and showed again what a great home-court advantage you can create at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Like Travis Parker, our lone senior, those of you soon leaving Penn State can take pride in knowing that you helped establish the foundation for Penn State basketball's success. To those students returning next year, please continue to support your team with the fervor you showed at the game. We're building something special for Penn State and you have a crucial role in helping us achieve our immediate goal of a Big Ten Championship.
