I would like to commend The Daily
Collegian for tastefully printing a photograph of a mock crime scene complete
with a mannequin and fake blood ("Class project lets students investigate murder cases," March 16), underneath an article describing the senseless murder of Michael Donahue.

The Collegian's respect for the deceased, and for a community that is still reeling from this immeasurable loss, is exceptional. Thank you for refuting the stereotype that the media is insensitive and preoccupied with shock value.
