I understand fans not attending men's basketball games because the team isn't good. But if you are going to go support the team, be sure to actually support the team ("Rutgers beats Lions in opening NIT game," March 15). If you want to go stand and watch, do us all a favor and sit with the general public and not the student section. Fans should treat basketball games like football games: They should come early, be loud and stay late. I couldn't count how many people recited the ESPN quote about Penn State having the greatest fans in the country after the Ohio State game; let's keep it that way. It was only the National Invitation Tournament, but let's have some pride.
