Timing of Paxson allegations calls motives into question

I think this whole Scott Paxson incident is ludicrous ("Paxson charged with sexual assault," March 2).

It has been 15 months since the original accusation and now things are starting to happen? I find it ironic that it has taken this long for legal action to be taken against him. I'm not calling the victim a liar -- we all know the judicial system is broken, but the timing does seem a little suspect based on the possible financial success Paxson could have in the near future. Now that he is looking at a possible position on a National Football League team next month, the ball begins to roll. Has Paxson really been afforded his due process rights? What are the real circumstances here? Why did it take so long?

I think there are a lot of questions here that need to be answered to ensure that Paxson isn't punished for something he didn't do.
