If you didn't notice, the Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (Thon) raised over $4 million this year ("Modifications would improve Thon's image," Feb. 27).
Regardless of how people act, who gets all the credit, what T-shirts or promotional tools people are using, and who brags the most, children with cancer and their families are being helped. I was not a member of a fraternity or sorority, but when I was at Penn State, I did not feel threatened by them.
Granted some people want to prove that they can raise the most money, but in the end who cares? There really is only one winner, and that is each child suffering from pediatric cancer who has a chance to get his or her life back because of the money raised by Penn State students. So stop complaining and start raising money now so you can have the highest amount by next year.
