Student government leaders act immature, irresponsible

I found something attached to my door last night. Apparently Chuck Norris thinks the University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) is a bad idea and its constitution for UPUA needs a roundhouse kick ("The Referendum," Feb. 28). It's high school tactics like this that has left the students of this campus with the bad taste of Undergraduate Student Government (USG) in their collective mouths.

I remember when the childish campaign slogan "Foulke n' A" got Galen Foulke and running mate Luke Adams elected to the positions of USG president and vice president. High school is over and USG is just an older version of high school politics. I don't care who takes over, but the campaigning tactics of USG say a lot about the maturity of the "kids" running it.
