Today's University Park forecast
Starting today, the recent warm weather will be nothing but a distant
memory in the Mid-Atlantic region. A strong cold front will cross the
state early this morning, bringing strong west winds and much colder air
behind it. As of 8pm, wind advisories and warnings were posted for much
of the state for Friday, as winds may gust up to 50mph in low-lying
areas, and up to 60mph or more on ridges. Temperatures will drop through
the day today, eventually reaching an overnight low in the mid-teens.
The cold weather and mostly clear skies will stick around through the
start of the work week, reminding us that it is still winter..-- Prepared by the Campus Weather Service
