Placing blame on greeks does not help university
I disagree with the letter, "Collegian's stripper opinion asserts powerful opinion," Feb. 9. I think people just need to grow up when it comes to greek life. What does it matter if a fraternity decides to have a stripper? If it offends you, then you shouldn't go.The strippers make a lot of money and stripping is a legitimate way to make money, it is not prostitution. The event is about guys having fun. I'm sick of these arguments of community service vs. partying. The greek system is great for the university, and while some of the things that happen are wrong, fraternities are not the only places serving underage students. Do you see how many underage people are out drinking each weekend? Do not misunderstand me: Drinking too much is dangerous, but each student is an adult and makes his or her own decisions. If you don't want to drink or attend a specific event, then don't, but stop blaming the greek system for everything. Evan Harris
