Letter to the Editor
Many true Steeler fans left town for big game

In response to the letter, "Steeler celebrations docile after Sunday's big victory, Feb. 7, I think there is a need to enlighten Scott Rush on the subject of Pittsburgh Steeler fans. We Pittsburgh fans are very deeply connected to our team. Hence when the Steelers go to the Super Bowl, we are either at the Super Bowl or we are back home ready to welcome our winning team. If you were in Pittsburgh, you would have been flabbergasted by the excitement our small city produced. Of course a few of us devoted fans like myself had prior commitments and could not go home, but those of us who stayed here celebrated as best we could. If the sound quality of our minority is equal to that produced at Eagles pre-season games, then I suggest you go to Heinz Field and hear what a true crowd sounds like.
