Today's University Park forecast
The first of two moisture-laden systems is affecting the area this
morning with rain showers dissipating by afternoon. This system will
rapidly exit to the northeast with temperatures falling slightly in its
wake. However, the next system will be close on its heels. The
precipitation may start as a brief period of sleet Saturday afternoon
before changing to rain. Overnight, periods of rain will change to snow
as cold air moves in behind the low. Snow showers will continue through
the day on Sunday as winter temperatures return. Stay tuned to the
forecast, as the specific track of the low will determine total
accumulations.-- Prepared by the Campus Weather Service
