Woman waives hearing on drug charges

An 18-year-old woman found with 77 bags of cocaine, who was arrested last Thursday, waived her preliminary hearing yesterday in the Centre County Courthouse.

Kristal Roach was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility after she allegedly arranged to sell the cocaine to an undercover Pennsylvania State Police officer, according to court documents. Police estimated the cocaine weighed 22 grams and had a street value of $4,000.

Local man waives assault case hearing

A 19-year-old State College man, who allegedly punched his 18-year-old girlfriend in the face and choked her, waived his preliminary hearing yesterday at the Centre County Courthouse.

Kyle P. Boslego is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and terroristic threats and harassment, according to court documents.

Boslego accused his girlfriend of cheating on him and threatened to kill her last week, according to court documents. The victim told police she escaped and ran to a friend's house. Her mother later took her to Mount Nittany Medical Center.

According to court documents, the victim had a swollen and cut lower lip, red marks on her neck and upper chest area, red bruises on her midsection, a swollen and bruised left hand and a bruised right leg.

Homeless man, 57, may face jail time

A homeless man who was allegedly caught stealing a tub of cottage cheese and a glazed doughnut from the University Creamery on Jan. 11 and 12 waived his preliminary hearing yesterday at the Centre County Courthouse.

Rudolph Tomedi, 57, has a prior record of retail theft in Pennsylvania, according to court documents. Tomedi is charged with one count of retail theft and one count of receiving stolen property. Because of his prior record, Tomedi could serve up to five years in prison for each count, Penn State University Police Officer Don Hazel said.
