'For You I Will' video
Music video review

Maybe you remember Teddy Geiger from MTV's high school hit Miss Seventeen.

Then again, maybe you don't. Either way, you will forever remember him as the singer-songwriter who got the hot chick, Kristin Cavalleri, from Laguna Beach to be in his video.

This video marks just one of the first few places fans of Laguna Beach will get to see their favorite trouble maker as she just finished a film with Al Pacino, no seriously, I'm not kidding.

Geiger premiered his first single, "For You I Will (Confidence)" on MTV's Total Request Live on Tuesday. The song is from his album Underage Thinking that describes the 17-year-old perfectly: underage.

The video's premise seems to be the everyday norm of boy sees girl, boy isn't popular enough for girl and boy loves girl from a distance. It also seems as if it is a reflection of Cavalleri's normal everyday life of people falling at her feet as well as perfect hair and clothes. However, it is Geiger who seems to be playing the part of Cavalleri's on-again-off-again boy toy Stephen as he watches Cavalleri from afar.

Geiger happens to be everywhere that Cavalleri goes whether he is playing in the street for money, as she is walking by or hanging out at a party. As it goes with all music videos, girls always seem to want that brooding singer/songwriter, and Cavalleri feels at home in the video stripping off her clothes and diving into the pool to make a scene. In the end, Geiger gets the girl, and an underwater make out scene.

While Geiger's video won't be winning awards anytime soon, it's brilliant.

Geiger is an OK looking guy with OK lyrics and a run of the mill voice, however by casting Cavalleri, he is sure to entice Laguna Beach fans to watch his video. Is this a marketing ploy? Yes, and it's bound to work.
