People should take politics with proverbial grain of salt
Greg Prince is completely right in his column, "Piracy viable as career option for students," Jan. 24. Most people do take all aspects of life too seriously, but I have to disagree with him when he says that religion and politics are two things that should be taken seriously. In fact, I believe they are two aspects of life that should never be taken seriously, but rather everything in them should be taken with a grain of salt instead. Don't get me wrong, voting is the single most important thing an American citizen can do, but seriousness breeds zealotry, and a zealot is an unfortunate thing to be on any front. In short, believe in causes, keep an open mind and practice moderation in all aspects of life. Eric Brune
