I applaud the Collegian's editorial board on one of the better-reasoned and fair approaches to anti-smoking funds that I can remember reading ("Smoking Prevention Funds: Reallocation of smoking funds benefits needy ," Jan. 24).

Rather than jump on the "tobacco is completely evil" bandwagon, the editorial realized that smokers must ultimately take personal responsibility for their actions. Good work.
