All sports deserve respect equal to PSU football team
This is in response to the letter, "FedEx Orange Bowl champs deserve separate ceremony," Jan. 18. Yes, our football team has gone through a lot this year, but what's the problem with spending $5 on a basketball ticket to see a great game and team, and on top of it get your picture taken with some football players and the Orange Bowl trophy? During the football games, don't we give recognition to all the fall sports and other dignitaries? Do they all deserve their own special ceremony, too? Sure, we won the Orange Bowl, but we have other fantastic sports that don't get enough recognition, and I think it's great that the football team was featured during a basketball game. After all, you pay at least $20 to go to a football game and on top of it you get to support other things as well. All sports deserve recognition no matter where it is. Jennifer Owsiany
