Professors should leave bias at classroom door
To all faculty: Your job is to teach, not to use the classroom as a forum for your political views. A professor of mine recently tried to convince the class that the Republican Party platform opposes birth control because when there is no birth control, the result is a larger, uneducated labor force. This brings down wages, which makes rich business owners happy, and they in turn donate to the Republican Party. Most of the professors I have had here have been able to put their views aside when teaching. However, when I heard a Penn State professor utter the nonsense described above, I felt the need to write to The Daily Collegian and stop going to his lecture. Nick Ennis
