Golden style for stars and starletts
Hollywood's finest show off best and worst of the spring season when they arrive in high style for annual Golden Globes in L.A.

The 63rd annual Golden Globes Awards, like most award shows, turned out to be more about who's wearing whom than who won what.

Best-dressed women

1. Eva Longoria looked gorgeous in a red, crisscross halter dress by Bob Mackie. A half-million-dollar bracelet and a natural looking spray tan accompanied the dress.

2. Scarlett Johansson was stunning in a red dress by Valentino. A flattering scoop neck and ruffled straps accentuated her great figure and flawless skin, which she wasn't afraid to hide.

3. Felicity Huffman completely transformed from a transvestite in her recent film Transamerica -- for which she won a Best Actress Globe -- to a fashion idol on the red carpet. She wore a Marchesa gown with silver straps and walked away glamorously with her award.

Honorable mentions: Evangeline Lilly looked beautiful in an Elie Saab emerald green dress that was slightly gathered below the bust. Natalie Portman finally has hair again and totally rocked a pixie cut and a Chanel strapless black lace dress. Nicollette Sheridan, often labeled as "worst dressed," looked great in a beautiful royal blue dress with a modern cut in the front, and Harry Winston sapphire earrings and ring to match.

Worst-dressed women

1. Anne Hathaway wore a dark blue, scattered sequined unflattering dress by Marc Jacobs that was paired with bright red Dior lipstick, making her look as white as a ghost.

2. Melanie Griffith wore a pale pink, too tight gown that accented her gut.

3. Rachel Weisz is very pregnant and chose something she thought would "expand with her." Although she walked away with a Golden Globe, no award was given for the awful gold Donna Karan dress she chose.

Dishonorable mentions: Matthew Fox's wife Margherita Ronchi wore a gothic take on a summer dress with red and black flowers and a black lace "thing" that consumed her neck and collarbone. Michelle Williams was great in Brokeback Mountain, but we couldn't say the same for her fashion execution on the red carpet, considering she wore a hideous two-toned purple lace dress with a belt across the midsection. Keira Knightley wore a white, strapless dress by Valentino that was altogether gorgeous, with one exception: There were tassels around the waist.

Best-dressed men

1. Eric Bana was hot in the recent film Munich but even hotter on the red carpet. With his crisp black tuxedo and the just-right amount of styling done to his hair, he was the epitome of classic red carpet.

2. Patrick Dempsey wore a white, studded shirt, a fresh take on the normally plain white button-down shirt underneath his Neil Barrett tuxedo.

3. Steve Carrell can normally be seen as a goofball in movies like The 40 Year-Old Virgin and Anchorman, but he looked like a big deal Monday night. With his classic black tuxedo and slicked back hair, it was obvious he took care in getting ready.

Honorable mentions: Matthew Fox looked gorgeous in his black tuxedo. Adrien Brody gets style kudos for taking a risk by ditching the tie/bow-tie thing and pulling it off without looking sloppy. Harold Perrineau decided to shake things up with an orange undershirt and yellow tie. His sunglasses added to his funky outfit and didn't look out of place.

Worst-dressed men

1. Johnny Depp decided not to get very dressed up for the occasion. He wore a button-down red shirt with a black jacket, and no tie. Oh, and what happened to brushing your hair before going out? He looked greasy and disheveled.

2. Ludacris should remember that just because Ralph Lauren makes something, it doesn't mean it looks good. His black, velvet tux equipped with a white polka-dot bow tie fittingly looked completely ludicrous.

3. Heath Ledger's receding hairline could have been disguised with a little more effort. Um, and take off your sunglasses!

Dishonorable mentions: Zack Braff stars in the TV series Scrubs, and he looked like one with his messy hairstyle. Terrence Howard looked more like a prom date than a Golden Globe nominee in his patent-leather shoes, silver tie and boutonniere.
