Senior Bowl to feature four Penn State players

A quartet of players who were instrumental in Penn State's 11-1 campaign have accepted invitations to play in the 57th Senior Bowl on Saturday, January 28.

Defensive end Tamba Hali, cornerback Anwar Phillips, quarterback Michael Robinson and cornerback Alan Zemaitis will represent the Big Ten Champion Nittany Lions at the Mobile, Ala. contest.

The game will kick at 4:00 p.m. ET and air on ESPN.

A starter in 33 of 34 games over the past three seasons, Hali had a breakout campaign in 2005, emerging as one of the nation's premier defensive players.

The Big Ten leader with 11.0 sacks (tied for eighth nationally) and 17.0 tackles for loss, Hali earned numerous accolades for his superlative play.

A two-year starter, Phillips closed his career with a strong effort in Penn State's triple overtime win over Florida State in the FedEx Orange Bowl, recording four solo tackles and three pass break-ups.

Tri-captain Robinson posted one of the greatest seasons in Penn State history, breaking Kerry Collins' season total offense record with 3,156 yards and leading the Lions to a Big Ten-best 35.2 points per game in conference contests (282 points), more than doubling PSU's 12.8 average in 2004.

A tri-captain, Zemaitis started 34 of the last 35 games and was selected All-Big Ten three times during his superlative career.
