Police have no suspects in a string of weekend burglaries and attempted break-ins at 11 State College businesses and churches.

The State College and Ferguson Township police departments said they believe the burglaries are related.

The break-ins occurred at businesses and churches in and around State College between late Saturday evening and early Sunday morning.

The State College police are currently investigating six of the burglaries.

At Meyer Dairy Store, 2390 S. Atherton St., someone entered through a window and obtained an undisclosed amount of cash from registers, State College police said.

There was also an attempted entry from the rear door at Home Delivery Pizza, 1820 S. Atherton St.

At Mio Zio Café, 132 W. College Ave., someone pried open a rear door and took cash from office drawers. The amount of cash stolen is not being released at this time.

There were "pry marks" and evidence of an attempted entry at College Gardens Nursery, 2481 Commercial Blvd. State College police said the nursery was the only establishment where the department was notified by an alarm. The other break-ins and attempts were discovered the next morning.

There was also a report of an attempted entry at Alfred Angelo Bridal, 2615 E. College Ave.

State College police said someone entered and took an undisclosed amount of cash from a register at The Frame Factory, 426 Westerly Parkway.
