Where was the Pennsylvania chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) when there were confirmed reports of women actually being exploited and abused at such universities as Colorado, Virginia Tech and many schools in Florida? NOW discredits itself by calling for Joe Paterno's resignation when no charges have been filed in this "he said, she said" argument ("Women's group wants Paterno to resign," Jan. 9).

I think Paterno meant to say that this was an unfortunate situation and that if any girls ever came to his door, he'd run them off.
