I have recently sent my written request for the resignation of Joanne Tosti-Vasey, president of the Pennsylvania chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) ("Women's group wants Paterno to resign," Jan. 9).

Joe Paterno is one of the most kindhearted and giving individuals to positively affect an educational institution. I ask my fellow Penn Staters to personally research the issue at hand, and if you deem it appropriate to ask for Tosti-Vasey's resignation, please do so. If after researching the issue you feel that NOW is in the right, then I guess I will just have to kick my dog when I get home and try and put it behind me.

Oops! I hope the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) doesn't ask for my resignation after that last comment.
