Borough police hunt for theft suspect

The State College Police Department has released pictures of and information about a possible suspect in connection with the theft of a 50-inch flat-screen Panasonic television worth about $1,900. Police said the TV was stolen Dec. 29 from the third floor of an apartment building at University Towers, 458 E. College Ave., between 1 and 2 a.m. An employee of University Towers found the TV outside the building next to a trash container.

The suspect is a white man, about 5 feet 11 inches, thin build, with medium to dark hair. He was wearing a horizontal-striped sweater and blue jeans.

Anyone who may be able to identify the suspect or has information is encouraged to contact the police department at 234-7150. The suspect's image was captured on several video cameras in the apartment building and can be found on http://statecollegepa.us/index.asp?NID=631.
