Three men who allegedly entered a North Atherton Street apartment, jumped a resident and stole his wallet and cell phone are being held in Centre County Prison awaiting trial on $75,000 bail each.
According to a police report, Michael J. Considine III, 25, of Mill Hall, Jason Mikitko, 24, of Lock Haven, and Kyle St. Clair, 20, of Pleasant Gap, entered an apartment in the 100 block of North Atherton Street at about 1 a.m. Friday night.
A woman, Samantha Davis, 19, of Bellefonte, did not enter the apartment but acted as an accomplice, State
College Police Department said.
Police said upon entering, the men asked to buy marijuana from the victim and resident of the apartment, who told them he was "not into that." One of the men punched the victim in the face, then spun him around and again punched him in the back of the head. The victim was pushed to the ground where clothing was put over his head, obscuring his vision. He was punched repeatedly while lying on the floor, according to police.
According to police reports, the men stole the victim's cell phone and wallet, which contained $650 in cash.
Residents who heard suspicious noise coming from the victim's apartment called police, who found the victim with visible facial injuries. He was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center.
According to a police report, once they arrived at the police station, Considine, Mikiko, St. Clair and Davis admitted they knew the victim and had conspired to rob him before driving to his apartment. The group told police they thought the victim had money, illegal drugs or both in his apartment, which they wanted to steal.
Considine, Mikiko and St. Clair are each charged with one count of criminal conspiracy and three counts of robbery and are being held in Centre County Prison. They were arraigned Saturday before District Justice Carmine Prestia.
Davis, who District Justice Tom Jordan said may have acted as the crew's getaway driver, is also charged with one count of criminal conspiracy and three counts of robbery and is also being held in Centre County Prison. Police arrested Davis a few hours after the men were apprehended, and she was arraigned Saturday before Jordan.
A preliminary hearing will be held 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Centre County Courthouse in Bellefonte.
