Skies becoming partly sunny by late afternoon with cooler temperatures.
Today's University Park forecast
The system that brought us significant snowfalls overnight is quickly moving off to the northeast, affecting travel in all major New England metropolitan areas. Only lingering snow showers can be expected through this afternoon in western Pennsylvania. Tonight the skies will clear, providing for radiational cooling and temperatures falling to near 20 degrees. Travel for this weekend and early next week is looking good as no major snowstorms are forecast to affect our weather. Temperatures will remain below average for at least another week, which is great news for ski resorts and snow lovers alike.
