Student ticket scalpers ruin bowl experiences

To all of you who didn't get tickets to the FedEx Orange Bowl: Don't give up hope just yet. Undoubtedly, there are kids who waited in line to get wristbands with the intention of reselling their tickets to diehard fans for 300 percent of the face value.

So don't worry blue and white faithful, instead of spending $600 on a two-day trip, you can now look forward to dropping $1,000 to see your Nittany Lions crush Florida State in the Orange Bowl. Who needs to go to school next semester anyway, right?

And don't be surprised if you find yourself in the Penn State student section sitting next to someone's dad or cousin who is not a Penn State student at all. Many people had their friends stand in line with them so that they could buy tickets for others who aren't affiliated with the university.

I hope these people can sleep well at night knowing they deprived their fellow Penn Staters the opportunity to go, just so they could make a buck or two. They should transfer schools.

To the future entrepreneurs of the world: Take advantage of my stupidity, and take advantage of my ignorance, but don't, under any circumstance, take advantage of my loyalty.
