Today's University Park forecast
Today will feature tranquil conditions yet again, as a strong high
pressure
system remains situated over the state. However, the fair weather will
be
replaced abruptly by another round of snow. Two low pressure systems
will combine to form a potent storm that will result in the first
significant snow
event for central PA. The storm will race across the state rather
quickly, but
nonetheless may cause problems for commuters Friday morning and during
the day. Accumulations of 4-8” are likely by Friday evening. Skies will
be clearing by overnight. Sunny skies will prevail Saturday before the
next system approaches the area on Sunday.-- Prepared by the Campus Weather Service
