Firefighting equipment reported stolen

The State College Police Department is investigating the theft between Wednesday and Thursday of firefighting equipment worth $3,755.

A volunteer firefighter parked his truck near his home and reported at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday that a portable radio, fire turnout gear and other personal items had been stolen.

It is unknown if there was forced entry and there are no suspects, police said.
