Students find home when away at PSU
This is in response to Scott Dimmich's column, "Remembering hometown friends key while at PSU," Nov. 29. I think it is safe to say that most Penn State students do not forget about their family, pre-college friends or hometowns. Come on now, it's almost impossible to ignore your roots. I do admit, however, that I was one of many who was happy to be home for a break but couldn't wait to return to Penn State. It's not that I hated being home; home just made me realize the true greatness of Penn State. As a recent graduate who has moved back home, I think about Penn State almost everyday, and I consider Penn State home. There's more to home than a Christmas tree, a car or mom's specialties. It's about being in a place where you are at your best surrounded by those people who you never would have met at "home." For the rest of my life, I can go back to Penn State and know that I am home. Just wait until you graduate. Joanna Armandi
