Darrell Kirch, chief executive officer of the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and dean of the College of Medicine, will resign his posts to serve as president of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).

Of the two teams playing last night at the Bryce Jordan Center, only one was wearing orange uniforms. But it was the team in home whites that got squeezed in the end.

Geary Claxton stood hunched over, his hands resting on his knees after playing for 38 minutes. He just had a career night, dishing out a personal-best 27 points -- but you'd never be able to tell.

The Penn State women's basketball team ventured to Old Dominion looking for some southern hospitality and a reprieve from the rain at home. Instead, it was greeted with a downpour in the early going, which the Lady Lions could not weather in a 93-61 loss last night.

Penn State graduate Michael Fratangelo will travel to Florence, Italy, where one of his paintings will be on display at the 2005 Florence Biennale from tomorrow through Dec. 11.

Most people will only ever dream of sharing the stage with one of their favorite bands, but tonight, this dream will become a reality for Ben Rothbart and his band, The Man.
