Halfmoon Township is undergoing a more important crisis than funding a library ("Halfmoon Twp. officials irresponsible for pulling promised library funds," Nov. 22).
I understand the officials pledged the money, but I can also understand why they needed to withdraw some of it. Which is more important in the near future: fire protection or a library? I know which one I would choose. My home is on fire and there is no fire company available nearby, so I have no home, but at least I can check out a book.
Sometimes people just need to get real and allow townships to decide which priority is more important.
