Hypocritical columns written for a reaction
With regard to Thomas Mei's most recent column ("PSU pride should continue through thick and thin," Nov. 16) I agree with his point. I have heard people who claim to be big fans of the football team talk about how great everything is right now. But just a few months ago, these same people were about to take a break from the season after the negligible loss to Michigan. Mei may be a hypocrite in this matter; that doesn't mean he's wrong about the topic though. I am not a big fan of the Penn State football team, but my respect for them has never fluctuated depending on how well they were doing. Readers should know by now that Mei's columns try to antagonize them, so they should just stop reading them if they know he is writing about a topic about which they do not want to read. Justin Betts
