Possible sex assault being investigated

The State College Police Department is investigating an assault that occurred on the 400 block of Waupelani Drive at about 10 p.m. Saturday. The victim's friends reported the incident to police when they found her in her apartment, bleeding from a head wound, police said. The victim was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center but was reluctant to provide police with any information, police said. The incident is being pursued as a possible sexual assault, police said.
