[ Wednesday, November 16, 2005 ] Today's University Park forecast Don't be fooled by the mild temperatures early this morning as the mercury will plummet, but not before a strong round of thunderstorms affect the region. Keep tuned to the current weather as severe thunderstorms will march across State College around noontime with the potential to produce damaging wind gusts and dangerous lightning. Conditions will quickly shift, though, and become brisk by evening with gusty winds ushering in cooler, drier air. Even the slight possibility of a lake-effect snow shower cannot be ruled out. The coldest air so far this season will settle into the northeast Thursday night before a very slow moderating trend takes place reaching more seasonable temperatures by the weekend. -- Prepared by the Campus Weather Service Today: Numerous showers and thunderstorms through the
afternoon before becoming abruptly brisk and dry toward evening. High 61 Previous Day Summary Almanac Monthly Climate Summary Sun Data
