Police Log

Burglary: About $6,000 was stolen sometime between 5 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Monday from a secured safe in the Agricultural Administration Building, Penn State University Police said. None of the entrance doors to the building were damaged, but the safe had been forced open, police said. The safe contained cash and donations to the United Way, according to a university police press release.

Criminal Mischief: The gate of the Schlow Centre Region Library parking lot was reported broken at about 2:30 p.m. Monday, the State College Police Department said. It is unknown when the incident occurred. There is no damage estimate.

Fire: A small electrical fire caused $500 worth of damage at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Applied Research Lab West II Building at Cato Park, Penn State University Police said. The fire began when a ceiling light fixture caught on fire, and there were no injuries, police said.

State College police are located at 243 S. Allen St. in the Municipal Building.

University police are located in the Eisenhower Parking Garage on campus.
