Wall' demonstration pointless for campus
I would like to thank the Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) for bringing their "Berlin Wall" to Penn State ("Wall stands for PSU divide," Nov. 11). As a conservative, I was totally unaware that the classes offered here were listed as "red" or "blue." Who knew that the philosophy elective that I scheduled this semester is actually a subversive indoctrination into communism, let alone any class that discusses such "evils" as socialism, anarchism, feminism or post-modernism? Now, in addition to having to decide whether to get my news from Jon Stewart or Bill O'Reilly, Michael Moore or Rush Limbaugh, I must carefully select my courses as to avoid being brainwashed by the leftist professors who obviously control post-secondary education. Next semester, I will be sure to schedule more classes in Greco-Roman political thought or medieval studies, so I can learn more about the principles YAF believes American society was founded upon, namely, that wealthy white men are the only members of society to be trusted with political power.
