Conservatives unable to articulate ideas
In reference to the Young Americans for Freedom's Berlin Wall demonstration, Shauna Moser and the rest of her organization need a reality check ("Wall stands for PSU divide," Nov. 11). She claims Penn State professors are too liberal and that it warps students' minds to be liberal, which she equates to being a communist. The real travesty is that the conservatives who feel this way are too ignorant to think for themselves. They want their views to be force-fed to students instead of promoting independent thought. I guess since free-thinking has the possibility of creating liberal ideas, I shouldn't expect a conservative group to advocate it. It's become almost stereotypical for YAF to label liberals as "communists." The frightening thing is that it's conservatives who want the government to have increased police powers and eliminate the freedom of choice and right to privacy. I think Moser needs to look up the definition of "hypocrite" before her next demonstration. Jim Coder
