Facebook Web site not credible source
My Facebook picture is a picture of me fighting a polar bear. Are the police going to arrest me for harming an endangered species ("Site used to aid investigations," Nov. 10)? If I can barely use Internet sources in conjunction with my term paper, the Internet, especially Facebook.com, sure is not credible enough to be used in court. Nothing on Facebook is for certain, and can in no way be presented as evidence for anything. This all sounds to me like an officer's excuse to view Sally's spring break photos. Police are browsing our Facebook profiles; do they not have anything better to do? The field rush took place over a month ago and minimal harm was done. The situation is over, why persist? Aren't there real criminals out there? Crimes to prevent? Rape cases to solve? To the officers: bless you for protecting us kids from the bad guys who rushed the field a month ago. God-forbid you actually get off the computer and go outside and catch a real criminal. Bobby Franssen
