I am writing in response to Devon Lash's "Site used to aid investigations," Nov.10. First off I want to thank the Daily Collegian for publishing this article and making students aware of what is happening around here.

This whole situation has gotten quite ridiculous. I was outraged when I read the article. The students were told not to rush the field. Telling students not to rush the field is just like telling a little kid not to talk while you are on the phone. You must understand the students that were at the game. After a couple of losing seasons, this was a huge and emotional win. No one in the student section thought about huge fines or possibly getting a prison sentence when they jumped on the field.

I was amazed that the police would pepper spray the students and beat them with nightsticks. It has been over a month and the students have learned their lesson, as everyone could see during the last two games. Nobody attempted to rush the field, even though the win against Wisconsin was very important. Just let it go; using the Facebook for your investigations might be legal, but it just isn't right.
